Preparing a large group for onsite fit testing
A practical planning checklist for coordinating tests for hundreds of employees.
Logistics at Scale
Testing 5 people is easy. Testing 500 across three shifts requires military-level logistics. Because we handle groups of 5 to 5,000+, we've perfected the coordination process.
Here is what you need to do to prepare for a large-scale onsite testing event:
1. Finalize the Roster
Get an exact headcount of everyone who needs testing. Note if anyone requires a specific accommodation (like translation services or PAPR training).
2. Complete Medical Evaluations Early
Do not wait until the day before. Use Arbor's online medical evaluation portal to get the entire roster cleared at least a week prior.
3. Set the Schedule (and utilize digital booking)
Avoid the "everyone show up at 10 AM" chaos. We provide an online scheduling link where your employees can book specific time slots. We send the reminders.
4. Prepare the Space
We need a dedicated room. For large groups, a large conference room, cafeteria, or clear warehouse area works best. We need:
* Adequate lighting and ventilation
* Tables and chairs
* Access to standard electrical outlets
5. Communicate the Rules
Remind the team 48 hours prior:
* No smoking, eating, chewing gum, or drinking (except water) for 15 minutes prior to their test.
* Clean shaven: Anyone being tested on a tight-fitting respirator must be clean-shaven where the mask seals.
Follow this, and we'll process your team with clinical precision.
